The brief for the FSS Member Service Centres was to develop a design aesthetics and ‘kit of parts’ approach for a new network rollout.
A key element of the brief and design approach was to provide a design solution which is approachable, relaxed and professional. The integration of FSS brand and graphic elements was also a fundamental objective.
An indicator of success for these projects is increased patronage and membership enquires arising from ‘shopfront’ access to FSS services.
The bold use of colour from the FSS brand palette highlights key areas and is balanced by a soft approach to the remaining elements in the spaces.
The intent is to create a welcoming and calm environment for prospective and existing FSS members through the use of timber and furniture selections with a more relaxed feel.
Each Service Centre has a concierge style workpoint located in the entry zone and supported by casual meeting spaces with wifi, brochuring and coffee making facilities.
A series of light, open member meeting rooms are generally collocated near the entry and office spaces for more private interactions.
Another important feature of the design is the use of elements which can be repeated across the network to reinforce the brand and reduce the time to design and construct new Service Centres.
